PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce an essence product on a factory scale from plants or mushrooms to be mainly supplied for maintaining health. SOLUTION: A plant or a mushroom is treated by a pressure hot water extractor at 110 deg.C to 130 deg.C for 5 minutes to 30 minutes to extract an essence, which is separated into a hydrous solid component (40% to 70 % water content) by a water separatccr. Then the hydrous solid component is treated by a saturated steam heat-treating machine at 130-200 deg.C for 5 minutes to 60 minutes. The treated component is retreated by the pressure hot water extractor at 110 deg.C to 130 deg.C for 5 minutes to 30 minutes to extract the essence. |
