PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive whirlwind type sucking apparatus having a truly simple structure of a small scale to a large scale, and easy in maintenance, and further to provide a smoke-separating machine by utilizing the sucking apparatus. SOLUTION: This smoke-separating machine is obtained by installing the whirlwind type sucking apparatus 2 on a main body 3 of the smoke-separating machine so as to be freely detachable. The whirlwind type sucking apparatus 2 has a covering plate 5 installed in the upper part of a base plate 4 so that the space between both the edge parts 6 and 7 of the covering plate 5 and the base plate 4 may be shielded, and is constituted so that air may be sucked from air-sucking openings 8 and 9 positioned in the interior of the shielding part and formed in the base plate 4 to cause a air current 10 directing to the surface of the covering plate 5 and to cause a discontinuous face between the air current 10 and the air on the covering plate 4, to form whirlwinds t directing to the air-sucking openings 8 and 9 by converging a plurality of whirlpools 12 caused on the discontinuous face, and to allow the air at the vicinity of the whirlwinds t to be sucked by the characteristics. The main body 3 of the smoke-separating machine has an air-discharging opening 21 formed in a box 20, and a blower 22 and an air-cleaning device 23 housed in the box 20 positioned between the air-sucking openings 8 and 9, and the air-discharging opening 21. |
