PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oligonucleotide specifically binding to a thermostable direct hemolysin-related hemolysin gene (trh1 or trh2) of Vibrio parahaemolyticus or an RNA derived from the gene. SOLUTION: This oligonucletide is used for detecting or amplifying the thermostable direct hemolysin-related hemolysin gene (trh1 or trh2) of the Vibrio parahaemolyticus or the RNA derived from the gene. Furthermore, the oligonucleotide is capable of specifically binding to the trh1 and trh2 or the RNA derived therefrom and comprises at least >=10 contiguous bases in any sequence described in sequence Nos. 1 to 11 in the specification or an oligonucleotide is complementary to the oligonucleotide.
