PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified deodorizing method of exhaust gas from an organic sludge thickner, capable of deodorizing the exhaust gas even in summer when the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is high. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas from the organic sludge thickner is introduced from the lower part of a gas absorption tower 1 in which a contact material is filled. Water to which a salt of cobalt is added is sprayed from the upper part of the gas absorption tower 1 to be brought into countercurrent contact with the exhaust gas. The water is circulated between a circulating water tank 2 with an aeration device 5 and the gas absorption tower 1. It is preferable that a ratio of liquid to gas in the gas absorption tower 1 and dissolved oxygen in the circulating water tank 2 are automatically controlled. |
