METHOD OF MANUFACTURING INK JET HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a water repellency of a front face of a nozzle plate while preventing the inside of a nozzle from being made water repellent in an ink jet head. SOLUTION: A first coat layer 12 of silica and a second coat layer 13 of glass containing fluorine are set to the front face of the nozzle plate 6. After the first coat layer 12 is turned to a half set gel state, an adhesive 14 of an electrodeposition resin is applied to a rear face of the nozzle plate 6. The nozzle 2 is formed by discharging from the side of the rear face of the nozzle plate 6. An auxiliary substrate 15 having a through hole 16 corresponding to the nozzle 2 is bonded to the rear face of the nozzle plate 6. Inner walls of the nozzle 2 and the through hole 16 are made hydrophilic by ashing according to an oxygen plasma CVD method from the rear face. The second coat layer 13 is set by heating to make the front face water repellent.
