PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandwich molded article wherein a core material is not exposed on the surface and the quality of appearance can be prevented from being lowered and a method for producing it. SOLUTION: In an apparatus 11 for injection molding of the sandwich molded article, after injection of a skin material 16 and a core material 14 is completed, a screw 24 of a core material feeding part 15 is retreated. Then, the core material 14 is drawn into a core material flow path 21 from a nozzle 19 and a skin material flow path 22. As the result, it is possible to prevent a core layer with a different color from a skin layer from being exposed on the surface of the sandwich molded article obtained.
