PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate flame propagation in a precombustion chamber of a combustion type actuator applicable to, for example, an implanter for implanting fixed elements. SOLUTION: The combustion type actuator comprises two combustion chamber walls 14 and 18 opposite to each other, and an ignition mechanism 52 disposed between the combustion chamber walls 14 and 18 to ignite fuel gas supplied therebetween. The fuel gas combustion generates a flame propagating in a laminar flow. One combustion chamber wall 18 has an overflow opening 38 spaced from the ignition mechanism 52. In the flame area propagating in a laminar flow between the ignition mechanism 52 and the overflow opening 38, a swirling means 55 is arranged to swirl the flame locally and thus to accelerate the flame propagation.
