PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a mold for molding an optical disk substrate in which a ceramic insulating layer is formed on the surface of a metal core member on the back side of a stamper, the structure of a mold core member in which the ceramic insulating layer is formed on the surface of the metal core member has not been considered, and when the ceramic insulating layer is formed on the entire surface of the zetal core member, a ceramic edge part is often broken or peeled off. SOLUTION: In the mold for molding the optical disk substrate in which the ceramic insulating layer is formed on the surface of the metal mold core member on the back side of the stamper, the surface of the metal core member is formed in the shape a groove, the ceramic insulating layer is formed in the groove part, and the inner and outer circumferential edge parts of the mold core member are formed from metal to increase the strength of the edge parts.
