PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst packing material by which a layered flow can be formed and through which an unreacted educt is subsequently prevented from slipping. SOLUTION: This catalyst packing material for a reactor has one or more layered bodies which consist of layers obtained by piling plural woven or knitted fabrics each having a shape like an endless belt article and cover the whole cross section of the reactor. The layered body is disposed vertically with respect to the mainly fluidizing direction in the reactor and consists of at least three segments (S).
