PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher in which a liquid detergent is prevented from undesirably flowing out from a detergent input recessed part located on the front door of a washing chamber. SOLUTION: A detergent housing part 4 having an inlet part 24 and an outlet part 25 is provided on the inside of the door 3, and a sponge or spongy filter 5 is provided on the outlet part 25 of the detergent housing part 4 as a retaining means for retaining the liquid detergent. When the water injected from an arm 6 enters through the inlet part 24 of the detergent housing part 4 to raise the hydraulic pressure of the outlet part 25 to a prescribed pressure, the liquid detergent oozes from the sponge or spongy filter 5.
