PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of a head and to increase the yield of component by eliminating the need for bonding a cover plate. SOLUTION: A pressure generating mechanism having a nozzle opening and an ink chamber communicating with the nozzle opening and applying a pressure to ink in the chamber is provided on the other side of the nozzle opening through a thin film substrate.
