DEODORIZATION METHOD FOR HIGH-CONCENTRATION AMMONIA SMELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological deodorization method for high-concentration ammonia smell which does not require the disposal of materials adsorbing odorous components and eliminates the possibility of discharging waste liquid to adversely affect the environment. SOLUTION: The high-concentration ammonia smell generated during composting of domestic animal dung or the like is bed to a deodorization column and brought into contact with a activated sludge liquid supplied from a batch-wise activated sludge waste water treatment facility within the deodorization column. Ammonia nitrogen-components are accordingly converted into nitrous acid and nitrite nitrogen by the effect of aerobic activated sludge and the activated sludge liquid after the deodorization treatment is returned to the batch-wise activated sludge waste water treatment facility, thereby there the denitrification treatment is carried out.
