PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester which is used for root vegetables and has an improved root vegetable-digging performance because of enhanced loosening performance for the soil of a field. SOLUTION: This harvester for root vegetables has a soiler 27b for digging soil near to root vegetables grown in a field and a nipping and carrying device 28 for nipping the foliages of the root vegetables dug with the soiler 27b and then pulling out and rearward carrying the root vegetables. A soiler-vibrating device 60 is disposed at the base portion of the soiler. The soiler 27b is finely vibrated with the soiler vibration device 60. Thus, the soil is loosened, and the root vegetables can easily be pulled out. Especially in winter the root vegetables whose leaves have been weakened can easily be pulled out. The harvested root vegetables have an advantage that the soil is so much not adhered to the harvested root vegetables. The machine frame of the harvester travels, while the soiler is finely vibrated with the soiler-vibrating device 60 to loosen the soil. Thereby, the straight travelability of the machine frame is largely improved, and the operation of the harvester is facilitated.
