PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport cut wastepaper resulting from cutting an unnecessary paper sheet, etc., stably into a compression chamber. SOLUTION: At a front end of a spiral shaft of a spiral conveyer 8 for transporting the cut wastepaper accumulated in a hopper so as to press it into a hold chamber, a leading end of a spiral part is formed into a rising part 39 from the center side of the spiral shaft to an outer peripheral side. When assuming a reference line perpendicular to the rotational direction of the spiral shaft for transportation (the reference line in the radial direction of the spiral shaft), the rising part 39 is formed of a curve or a straight line the more outer peripheral side of which leaves gradually farther in the direction opposite to the rotational direction from the reference line, regarding the reference line. Then, the cut wastepaper is transported by a screw 7 into a compression cylinder, when the transportation proceeds on and the high-density compression of cut wastepaper occurs, or when the screw tip part abuts on the curved line or straight line part and presses the compressed cut wastepaper, revolution of a shaft part is allowed and it is hard to become the loading at the time of the transportation of the cut wastepaper.
