PURPOSE:To realize accurate measurement of train interval at the time of coupling work while ensuring the function of whistle by making a switch to weak whistle where the ultrasonic component of the whistle in an ultrasonic receiver is lower than a threshold level at the time of coupling work. CONSTITUTION:At the time of coupling work of rolling stock, an ultrasonic receiver makes a decision that an input exceeding a threshold level is an input of range finding signal. Whistles 56a-56b are switched through a switch 48 to weak whistle at the time of coupling work. Consequently, sound pressure level of ultrasonic component of the whistles 56a-56b drops below a threshold in the ultrasonic receiver and rejected from being received as a range finding signal. According to the constitution, accurate train interval can be detected at the time of coupling work while fulfilling the function of whistles 56a-56b. |
