PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled overflow notch cleaning apparatus enhancing the work environment of a worker cleaning an overflow notch and made useful for the prevention of a death accident. SOLUTION: The self-propelled overflow notch cleaning apparatus is made self-propelled by driving wheels by an AC motor and the overflow notch is cleaned by the brushes attached to the side surfaces of the apparatus body. The motor is reversibly rotated by the contact of the limit switches attached to the front and rear of the apparatus body with a contact plate to allow the apparatus to reciprocally run. By this cleaning method, a worker is not required to enter a water channel to carry out work so that a death accident generated will be prevented.
