PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain relief method capable of surely relieving strain, not requiring a large press, good enough with a pressure of several kg/cm2, in a short time and not requiring a skill. SOLUTION: A thin meal plate having strain is placed on a base, an ultrasonic generator integrated in a vibrator is pushed on the thin metal plate, the vibrator is actuated, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted by the ultrasonic generator, the strain in the thin metal plate is removed.
