PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining a screw capable of simplifying working processes, shortening working time, and reducing costs, and a straight pipe with a spiral joint. SOLUTION: In this method for machining the screw, a specified length of the straight pipe is secured by a chuck and rotated, and spiral screws of the same direction are simultaneously machined in an outer peripheral part or an inner peripheral part on one end side and the other end side of the straight pipe. This straight pipe with the spiral joint is formed by simultaneously machining the spiral screws of the same direction in the outer peripheral part or the inner peripheral part on the one or the other end side of the straight pipe.
