PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf capable of assembling by using only one kind of shelf boards and commonly used struts wherein edge parts are not processed. SOLUTION: Piercing holes 12 are drilled in four corners of the shelf board 1. A step part 13, which has a larger diameter than that of the piecing hole 12, is provided, at the upper and of each piercing hole 12. A cylindrical part 14, which has an outer diameter generally equal to the inner diameter of the step part 13, is formed so as to project downward at the lower end of the piercing hole 12. Each of couplings 2 having a generally cylindrical shape comprises a bottom-side half part 21 having an outer diameter generally equal to the inner diameter of the piercing hole 12, and an opening-side half part 22, wherein a base part thereof has an outer diameter generally equal to the diameter of the step part 13. The couplings 2 are fitted into each end of the strut 3, and the strut 3 is fitted into the piercing holes 12.
