METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLASSIFYING WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste classifying apparatus capable of classifying paper and plastics at a lower cost in conformity to the kind of classification calculated from a viewpoint of the reutilization of waste as resources. SOLUTION: A light source for irradiating plastics and paper to be classified with infrared rays and an infrared sensor for detecting the transmission quantity of infrared rays are provided to a waste classifying apparatus. The waste classifying apparatus classifies plastics and paper based on the transmission quantities of infrared rays through plastics and paper.
