PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a capacitor bar that is capable of improving a yield by preventing a burr on a cut surface of a capacitor and chipping of electrode parts of the capacitor. SOLUTION: This device 1 for cutting the capacitor bar comprises: an advancing means for moving the capacitor bar 3 forward along the length of the capacitor bar 3; an underlying surface 21 on which the capacitor bar 3 is placed with a film part 4 of the capacitor bar 3 supported; a dicing saw 22 for cutting the capacitor bar 3; and grooves 25 formed in the underlying surface 21 along the length of the capacitor bar 3 so as to allow the external electrodes 5 of the capacitor bar 3 to fit in the grooves 25, respectively.
