PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer which cuts time for cooling short during and after treatment of garbage so that wasteful energy consumption is reduced. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is equipped with a storage part 2 for storing the garbage, a heating part 2a for heating the garbage in the storage part 2, an air evacuation device 3 for evacuating smell or water vapor generated from the heated garbage to the outside of the storage part 2 and an air suction aperture 5 for introducing atmospheric air into the storage part 2. Thus, it is possible to dispose of the garbage in a short time without lowering the drying efficiency by making the opening area of the air suction aperture 5 variable and consequently, save energy consumption.
