PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an operation in a sewing unit for forming folds and tucks. SOLUTION: A device for feeding a sewn product folded into a sewing machine 3 is provided with a folding tool 14 having a folding edge 15 and retaining means 22 for limiting feeding motion of the folding tool at a receiving position, wherein the retaining means are a part of the folding edge of the folding tool and within a motion track B of the part surrounded by the sewn product folded.
