METHOD FOR ANALYZING NUMERAL EXPRESSION IN PROCESSING NATURAL LANGUAGE

PURPOSE: A method for analyzing a numeral expression in processing a natural language is provided to reduce an error and a calculation cost necessary for a meaning analysis of a natural language character by removing an ambiguity on a form, a syntax, a meaning being generated in a numeral expression analysis in a Hangul sentence. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a numeral expression is displayed by only a cardinal numeral or only an ordinal numeral. If a numeral expression displayed by only a cardinal numeral or ordinal numeral is not detected, the numeral expression is divided according to morphemes. It is judged whether the numeral expression divided according to morphemes is a cardinal numeral having a noun or an ordinal numeral the headword thereof is a noun. If a meaning of the numeral expression is not analyzed in the above stage, it is judged whether the numeral expression is displayed by only a cardinal numeral or an ordinal numeral the headword is an ordinal number.
