METHOD OF SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATION FOR LACTIC ACID- FERMENTATION PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of solid-liquid separation for lactic acid- fermentation product which permits high dehydration in a short dehydration time without drug infusion and necessitates no wash water. SOLUTION: This method is the method of solid-liquid separation by which an organic waste, e.g. garbage or the like, crushed in a suitable size and containing an adequate amount of water is lactic acid-fermented by the use of a lactic acid bacterium and then a solution containing lactic acid is separated from a solid residue in the resultant fermented product. The treatment of solid- liquid separation is carried out by means of separating the solution containing lactic acid from the first residue by primarily dehydrating the fermented product and further by means of separating the solution containing lactic acid from the second residue by secondarily dehydrating the first residue to collect a larger quantity of lactic acid.
