PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a handle so as not to jut out from the side of the rice cooker main body and easily put it in an upright position when in use. SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker is provided with a horseshoe-shaped handle 4 which is pivoted by means of a pivot shaft 5, 5 to rotate in an arc on a shaft hole 3, 3 formed on both sides of the rice cooker body 1, is put in an upright position when in use and stored along the rice cooker body 1 when out of use. On the rice cooker main body 1 there is formed a concave portion 9 to store the holder 4 such that the holder is on the same plane as the side of the rice cooker main body 1 when out of use and there is nothing projected from the side of the rice cooker main body 1.
