PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel capable of arbitrarily selecting a fitting method capable of throwing a sinker by holding a leg body between the middle finger and the ring finger and a fitting method capable of throwing a sinker without holding the leg body between the middle finger and the ring finger. SOLUTION: In this spinning reel 10 which has a leg body 30 supporting a reel body part 11 and projecting toward a fishing rod 40 and is attached and fixed through the leg body 30 to the fishing rod 40, the leg part 30 is constituted of a fitting part 33 to be mounted on the fishing rod 40 and a supporting part 32 having a part to be approximately perpendicular to the fitting part 33, arranged separately from the reel body part 11, a fitting support point of the supporting part 32 to the reel body part 11 is separated from the part approximately perpendicular to the fitting part 33 by a fixed distance. A fitting direction of the fitting part 33 to the fishing rod 40 and a fitting direction of the supporting part 32 to the reel body part 11 can be longitudinally reversed.
