PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that seedling boxes are extremely heavy when the number of seedlings is increased and much labor is required though the seedling boxes are pushed from the external end by an operator with hands so as to gather the seedling boxes placed on a carrying platform to the central side in a conventional rice transplanter equipped with the carrying platform for reserve seedlings, lightly move the seedlings and thereby reduce the labor. SOLUTION: This seedling feeder of the rice transplanter is characterized in that a seedling-carrying platform 14 is capable of carrying the seedlings and movable and is obtained by composing the external end side of the seedling- carrying platform 14 so as to be vertically tiltable so that the posture of the external end side thereof is changed from a horizontal posture to a tilted posture in which the external end side is lifted upward and a connection guide part 18 for providing a smaller tilt angle than the tilt angle when the external end side is tilted in a connecting part of the external end side to the base end side is arranged.
