The invention relates to a method for the production of a potato product, coated by means of starch, in particular, of baton-shaped potato products (chips/french fries). The coating bulk (mass) contains starch and optionally various spices, or other food additives and is of a liquid, pasty or powdery consistency. The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of the potato products. Said aim is achieved with a method for production of a potato product, coated or moistened with a coating mass, in particular, a baton-shaped product (chips/french fries), whereby the baton-shaped product is transported through a drum and turned at least once during said transportation and/or displaced perpendicular to the direction of transport and/or revolved. The coating mass is added either dissolved in a fluid, or dry, during the introduction of the potato product into the drum and/or to the drum. |
