PHOTO-BIOREACTOR AND METHOD FOR CULTURING PHOTOSYNTHETIC BACTERIA USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A photo-bioreactor and a method for culturing photosynthetic bacteria using the same are provided, thereby optimally culturing photosynthetic bacteria, regardless of the outside temperature. CONSTITUTION: A vertical pipe type photo-bioreactor(1) comprises a circulating pipe; a heat exchanger(2) for regulating the temperature of the bioreactor regardless of the outside temperature; a circulating hole(14) positioned under the circulating pipe; an air dispersing plate(3) with an air introducing hole(4) for supplying air to the bioreactor which is positioned in the lower outside of the circulating pipe. A method for culturing photosynthetic bacteria using the photo-bioreactor comprises maintaining the temperature of a medium in the bioreactor to 25 to 35 deg. C and supplying air to the medium in the bioreactor, thereby microorganisms cultured in the medium are circulated.
