<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image exposure device capable of performing accurate image exposure without defocusing with the high utilization efficiency of light by the image exposure using a two-dimensional spatial modulation element and a drum holding photosensitive material. SOLUTION: This image exposure device is provided with a light source part, the two-dimensional spatial modulation element modulating light emitted from the light source part, the drum holding the photosensitive material, an image-formation optical system forming the light modulated by the two-dimensional spatial modulation element into an image on the photosensitive material, a scanning means for relatively scanning the two-dimensional spatial modulation element and the drum in the axial direction and the peripheral direction of the drum, and a regulating means for regulating the length of the light formed into the image on the photosensitive material in the peripheral direction of the drum so that the light formed into the image on the photosensitive material may be within the depth of focus of the image-formation optical system.</p> |
