PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of setting a highly precise scale. SOLUTION: The electronic camera for recording a photographed image by being converted into an electric signal is provided with a light emitting means 42 for emitting a plurality of light rays crossing without a prescribed distance to an object toward the object, scale setting means 18 and 52 for setting the scale to become an estimate for the real length of the object on a display picture, and a composition means 53 for preparing a composite scale image by compositing the scale with the photographed image.
