PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane switch capable of preventing erroneous operation caused by a foreign substance even if the foreign substance is caught between a lower electrode sheet and a supporting board at the time of assembling of the membrane switch. SOLUTION: The membrane switch has the upper electrode sheet 10 wherein the first electrode 11 is provided on the lower side; a lower electrode sheet 20 wherein the second electrode 21 is provided on the upper side in a position opposite to each of the first electrode; a spacer 30 arranged between the upper electrode sheet 10 and the lower electrode sheet 20, wherein an inner edge part 31 is provided apart from the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 21; a supporting board 40 arranged at the lower side of the lower electrode sheet 20; and an inner edge part 71a arranged between the lower electrode sheet 20 and the supporting board 40 so as to be apart from the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 21. The inner edge part 71a has a gap forming layer 70 as a separate body from the supporting board 40 arranged in a position more distant from the first and the second electrodes 11, 21 than that of the inner edge part 31 of the spacer 30.
