PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data imprinting unit mounting structure capable of easily attaching/detaching the data imprinting unit while surely preventing the leakage of light, and also, to provide a system camera to which various kinds of data imprinting units can be interchangeably loaded by using the mounting structure. SOLUTION: In the data imprinting unit mounting structure, the data imprinting unit 1 is mounted on the back cover 3 of the camera main body 2 equipped with an outer case 7, a base plate 8 and a pressure plate 9 so as to be positioned in a gap between the outer case 7 and the base plate 8, and the base plate 8 is freely attachably/detachably loaded to the outer case 7 while holding the pressure plate 9, and the data imprinting unit 1 is freely attachably/ detachably loaded to set parts 21A and 21B formed on either of the inside of the outer case 7 and the rear side of the base plate 8.
