PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool 10 for converting an optical fiber terminal, for the purpose of using only the terminal part as a two-core tape connectable in a short time to a two-core connector subsequently, by attaching the tool 10 to the terminal of two single-core optical fibers, which are taken out from a single-core fiber collected type optical cable, and thereby easily converting the two fibers into a two-core tape. SOLUTION: The auxiliary tool 10 for two-core tape conversion is such that it is composed of two bisected members and that semi-circular grooves are provided in each of the bisected members so that, when these members are integrated, two single-core optical fibers 14, 16 can be fixedly held with the same pitch width as that of optical fibers in a two-core optical connector.
