PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where a lot of air-tight materials are required to install air-tight materials of a specified width for an air-tight structure within a tunnel while the total length of overlapping parts of air-tight materials is very long, resulting in a lot of time and labor for jointing the overlapping parts. SOLUTION: At a cylindrical part in a tunnel T, air-tight materials S continuous in length direction of the tunnel are installed with the inside perimeter divided in circumferential direction into a plurality of sections. After the air- tight materials S are installed along the entire perimeter in the tunnel length direction, the overlapping parts J of the air-tight materials S are jointed together in length direction. Then, a integral air-tight material is installed on the inside surface of the tunnel end part, and the overlapping parts between the integral air-tight material at the end part and the air-tight material at the cylindrical part are jointed for an air-tight structure within the tunnel T.
