PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector of which the sensitivity is substantially improved more than a conventional device so as to perform measurements from an environmental level and which is made lightweight for heightening portability in use. SOLUTION: The radiation detector is provided with a liquid scintillator 11 used for the measurement of fast neutrons and the thermalization of intermediate neutrons and a glass scintillator 12 for measuring intermediate neutrons thermalized by the liquid scintillator 11. The glass scintillator 12 is made of 6Li and also used as the container of the liquid scintillator 11.
