PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a rotary four-way valve of an outdoor machine of, for example, an air conditioner that a gear housing is corroded if foreign matter such as water and dust enters a recessed part and the vibration occurs if the foreign matter is caught in a clearance, thereby damaging the housing, by storing a part of a non-contact drive type motor in the recessed part on an outer face of the gear housing by providing the clearance. SOLUTION: An annular projection 24 is provided at a peripheral fringe of the recessed part 19 on an upper face 2c of the gear housing 2, and the annular projection 24 adheres closely on an annular stepped part 30 of the motor housing 2 to prevent the entry of a foreign matter into the clearances S1, S2.
