PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact and lightweight power converter for a rolling stock that has large capacity, can save labor for maintenance and inspection, and can run trains at high speed. SOLUTION: An L-shaped partition board 2d where a long side is set to the direction of a rail is provided to the inside of a box body that is suspended under the floor of the vehicle for forming a wind tunnel 6. To one side of the partition board 2d, a high-speed breaker 13A, a relay unit 13B, an interface unit 13C, and a controlling device 13D are successively accommodated in the direction of the rail. At the other side of the partition plate 2d, a pair of smoothing reactors 8A and 8B are accommodated to the short side of the L- shaped partition board 2d, and a semiconductor-cooling unit 7 is accommodated via the smoothing reactors 8A and 8B and a partition 2f. A heat radiation part 7a of the semiconductor unit 7 projects to the side of a wind inlet 2d of the wind tunnel 6. In the smoothing reactors 8A and 8B, motor fans 9A and 9B are fixed to the inside of the wind tunnel 6. |
