PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive optical pickup device and an optical recording/reproducing device, capable of performing recording/ reproducing to/from various kinds of optical information recording media. SOLUTION: The devices are provided with at least a condensing means, photodetecting element, optical branching element, semiconductor laser element 1, optical switching element 2 for switching the direction of an exit beam from the semiconductor laser element, and a wavelength converting element 3. |
