PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which is capable of maintaining good printing quality by decreasing the amount of gaseous NOx near an image carrying member of an image forming device by an electrophotographic system and the image forming device. SOLUTION: The image forming method and image forming device 10 form an image by forming a toner image on the image carrying member 11, then transferring the toner image onto an image recording medium P and fixing the same. The image forming device 10 has at least the image carrying member 11, a latent image forming means 13 for forming the latent image on the image carrying member, a developing means 14 for developing the latent image, a transfer means 15 for transferring the developed toner image on the image recording medium P and a fixing means 23 for forming the image by fixing the toner image. The device is provided with an electrostatic charging means 17 facing the image carrying member 11 and a NOx decreasing means 35 for lowering the concentration of the gaseous NOx generated in the electrostatic charging means 17 near the image carrying member 11 to <=0.8 ppm. |
