<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus and a communication apparatus that can prevent mis-reception of received data when a power saving state returns to a usual state and can be quickly returned to the usual state. SOLUTION: A printer 10 is provided with a CPU 12, a RAM 16, a power supply control section 20, a communication I/F 24, and a sub-memory 35 or the like. In a sleep mode, the power supply of the CPU 12 and the RAM 16 or the like is inactivated. Upon the receipt of data in the sleep mode, the power supply control section 20 starts supply of a usual power supply to the CPU 12 or the like. Thus, the CPU 12 starts prescribed boot processing. A DMAC 34 transfers the received data for that time to the sub-memory 35. When the boot processing by the CPU 12 is finished, the DMAC 34 transfers the data in the sub-memory 35 to the RAM 16.</p> |
