PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of sealing function in case of thermal expansion of a transmission block when feeding a high temperature liquid in an apparatus for measuring characteristics of microwave for liquid. SOLUTION: The transmission block 20 having a channel 22 of a rectangular cross section therein comprises an outside shape of a prism, microwave transmission parts 24, 24 on a surface opposing to waveguides 50a, 50b, and positioning projections 26, 26 on a surface parallel to the waveguides 50a, 50b. When the transmission block 20 is inserted into a holding fixture 30, the microwave transmission parts 24, 24 and the positioning projections 26, 26 of the transmission block 20 come into contact with the inside of the holding fixture 30, while leaving a clearance between the transmittance block 20 and the holding fixture 30 at the other parts. Although the transmission block 20 is thermally expanded when feeding a high temperature liquid, the transmission block 20 only deforms so as to stick to the inside of the holding fixture 30 as a whole, and a contact area between the transmission block 20 and respective top and bottom flanges remains unchanged, thus preventing the reduction of the sealing function.
