PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden post stand that does not require the machining of a post, can be easily mounted, has improved stability and appearance, secures water passage and venting properties even after mounting, prevents corrosion and harm by termites, and improves durability. SOLUTION: In the wooden post stand, a post lower end insertion cylindrical part 3 is fixed to the upper end of an embedding shaft rod 2 that is provided perpendicularly on a slab 1, the insertion cylindrical part 3 is provided with a seat part 4 of an insertion pillar H at an interval in its inner periphery surface vertical direction and at the same time a screw hole 5 is formed to penetrated the side wall, and a bottom rise part 6 is provided at the center of a bottom surface and at the same time a drain hole 7 is provided at the outer side of the rise part 6, a clearance 8 for passing water and wind is secured between a post H that is inserted and fixed and the inner-peripheral surface of the insertion cylindrical part 3, and at the same time water accumulated in the insertion cylindrical part 3 can be discharged to the outside successively.
