PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling lever device capable of facilitating operation, reducing the price of the device and a scale in the case of fixing a traveling lever in an inclined attitude for reducing burden on an operator in long-distance traveling in construction machine such as an oil hydraulic shovel. SOLUTION: Attitude holding devices 8 and 9 each for holding the attitude of a traveling lever 3 approximately in a forefront inclined attitude and backmost inclined attitude are provided between the traveling lever 3 and an operation room floor 2. The attitude holding devices 8 and 9 comprise a holding means to use a spring force or magnetic force to hold the attitude of the traveling lever 3 close to the forefront inclined attitude and backmost inclined attitude against the restoring force of the traveling lever 3 to a neutral location. The holding force is set weaker than the operating force by an operator. It is possible to fix the traveling lever 3 and release it from fixation in an inclined attitude only by the operation of the traveling lever 3 or a pedal 5.
