PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided, to improve the binding power between electrodes and a separator, thereby inhibiting the swelling of a battery when it is placed at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: The lithium secondary battery is such that it comprises a cathode comprising an oxide of lithium-containing metal; an anode comprising metal lithium, lithium alloy or carbon material; a separator which is placed between the cathode and the anode; and an organic electrolytic liquid comprising a nonaqueous organic solvent and lithium salt, and it is prepared by adding a thermosetting monomer or oligomer to the organic electrolytic liquid for improving the binding power among the cathode, the anode and the separator, and polymerizing and thermosetting it. Preferably the thermosetting monomer is selected from the group consisting of an acrylate-based monomer, an acrylamide-based monomer and divinyl benzene, and the thermosetting oligomer is selected from the group consisting of an acrylate-based oligomer and an acrylamide-based oligomer. |
