PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic fuel cell having such features as the simplicity of the cell structure, adaptability to various fuel gases and operability at a temperature enabling various usages. SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises a solid electrolyte of a stabilized zirconia, lanthanum garlate of cerium a positive pole of a cermet composed of nickel as its main composition and a negative pole composed of a samarium cobaltite or lanthanum cobaltite. To this fuel cell, a gas mixed with a fuel gas of various hydrocarbon, alcohol, etc., and the air is supplied at a temperature of 250 deg.C or more. In spite of the fuel cell which is of a type not separating the fuel gas and air, a voltage is secured to take out the current. |
