PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement gauge which can be set at a narrow place, has prompt response to settlement, can reduce effects on measured values as much as possible, even with respect to severe oscillations by a running vehicle or the like, is easy to operate and has a superior stability. SOLUTION: In this settlement gauge, detectors each comprised of a water tank, in which a float is set and a differential transformer for detecting a water level of the water tank from a rise/drop of the float in the water tank are arranged to a home position and to a measurement point. Water tanks of these detectors are connected by connecting pipes, and the water level in each water tank is continuously detected. A water level difference between the home position and the measurement point is calculated inside a measurement control device. The quantity of settlement or elevation of the measurement point is thus measured. The differential transformer is set outside the water tank, and a core of the differential transformer and the float in the water-tank are connected in parallel via ropes and pulleys.
