SEALING STRUCTURE AROUND EMERGENCY SHUTOFF PORT IN GAS METER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure around an emergency shutoff port in a gas meter for enabling further improvement of sealing property around the emergency shutoff port. SOLUTION: A valve seat 63 is provided in an emergency shutoff port 3 within a gas meter and a valve element 62 is arranged so as to be freely attachable/detachable to/from the valve seat 63. A valve seat adapter 50 provided with an annular adapter main body 52 on an outer periphery at one end of an inner fit cylinder 51 is constituted so that the emergency shutoff port 3 may be opened/closed by internally fitting the inner fit cylinder 51 into the valve seat 63 and attaching/detaching the valve element 62 to/from the adapter main body 52, in a mode in which the adapter main body 52 is arranged on a bearing surface 63a of the valve seat 63. In a packing 70 having an annular packing main body 71 and a sealing piece 72 provided so as to be extended in the axial center direction at the inner peripheral end edge, the main body 71 is arranged between the adapter main body 52 and the bearing surface 63a of the valve seat 63 and the sealing piece 72 is arranged between the inner fit cylinder 51 and an inner peripheral surface of the valve seat 63.
