PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of construction processes and the necessary number of workers by decreasing the times of pressure test in the process of constructing a reactor power plant. SOLUTION: In the construction process of a reactor power plant, a reactor pressure vessel 1 inside of a ABWR employed for the reactor power plant is pressure-tested by adding pressure with a control rod drive system driving water pump and adding test pressure exceeding maximum working pressure to the pressure test region at once. This pressure test is done after plant constitution parts 1, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are placed connecting to the reactor pressure vessel. During the pressure test, the control rod drive system driving water pump is operated to maintain the test pressure.
